Ein weiterer Winter in Dal'Riada
Cead mile fáilte
"Samhain is here, cold is the earth,
as we celebrate the cycle of death and rebirth. Tonight we speak to those through the veil, the lines between worlds are thin and frail. Ghosts and spirits in the night,
magical beings rising in flight, owls hooting up in a moonlit tree, I don't fear you and you don't fear me. As the sun goes down, far to the west,
my ancestors watch over me as I rest. They keep me safe and without fear, on the night of Samhain, our own new year." Fàilte air an neach a chaochail.

ENGLISH:
Mike wanted to celebrate his birthday at Samhain as the beginning of a new year of life. Unfortunately that is no longer possible. But Samhain is not just the Celtic New Year. The end of summer was also celebrated during this time, when the cattle moved into the stables. And so, it was believed, the souls of the dead returned to their homes.
This con was actually supposed to be a birthday con. The con was firmly planned. And even if, for reasons known to us, virtually all information about it was lost, we still wanted to let the con take place. Unfortunately, none of this is accessible. But we were able to book the location at the planned time. And so we not only celebrate Samhain, but on this special night we hope that Cae, or Mike, will also watch us from somewhere and say: Slàinte
And with this in mind, we will again be holding an auction to benefit the animal shelter, just like last time. In consultation with the family, we would like to auction off Mike's things so that they find their way into good hands and can be carried on with honor. But if you would like to contribute your own things again, the animal shelter will definitely be happy about it.
🏕 Location: the "Soldatenbergheim Hundseck" is located at 900m on the edge of the beautiful Black Forest near Bühl, but is accessible in wind and weather.

René, Hendrik and Angela stand in the kitchen. Depending on this, it may be that only Hendrik and Angela are in the kitchen. Therefore, very important: When you register, please let us know what you are allergic to. And whether you don't eat meat. Then we can plan for that. 😉
🍻 Drinks: We will resell the house drinks cheaply. Based on the last status: ½l soda €1.50, 0.33l cola €1.50, ½l draft beer €2, wine €7-8, as examples.
I'll still look for mead and honey beer. I hope to get Peter from the mead forge for this.
There's nothing wrong with making your own things (whiskey, gin, etc.) that aren't sold - at least to a certain extent.
We'll be happy to clarify this IT 😁
Coffee and tea are included in the full board.
So far the plan is to work with the tavern book on a credit basis, it works better with small change.
⚠️ Hygiene concept: hopefully we won't need it like in C times. If so, we will announce it!
🚘 Arrival/Departure: Like last time.
Help with dismantling or cleaning is expected.

"Fir? Do you remember that little tavern on the steep slopes of the Dragon's Back? We once celebrated there with Cae. And he wanted us to celebrate again. "Otherwise we'll come into spring sober and emaciated," he would have said. "Let us send messengers. Gather not only the spears, but also friends. They will come."
Loud, heartfelt laughter sounds.
There are few mountains where they come from, but when they do, they are right. And instead of taking everyone to the heartland, there was this tavern that they had purchased years ago, a small but nice retreat in the land of Y'Ddraig, easily accessible from a small harbor.
Celebrate the beginning of the year hard and then prepare for the beginning of winter...
"Do you actually think we should inform you about the laws and customs? Actually, you should remember them. In any case, it will be fun! A big one!"
